Warranty

MAT-MAS takes into account warranty claims due to manufacturing defects of the blades within 12 months from the purchase. However consider that the manufacturer reserves the right to evaluate case by case, don’t feel upset if you are not refunded due to improper use.
The warranty only covers the blades but not the consumable parts in rubber.

In case of a warranty claim you are expected to send us the pictures of the broken pair of fins to examine the defect, and we will ship back one or two new fins as replacement afterwards.
Note that shipping costs are at your own charge.
We do not cover shipping, insurance or any import fees, duties and taxes.

We do not cover shipping, insurance or any import fees, duties and taxes for the returned product.

F.A.Q.

  1. What are the fins better fitting myself?
Sophia Tapper - BentFishDesign (www.bentfishdesign.com) - wrote an excellent guide to help find your Mat - Mas. Dowload it here.
  2. What is the difference between stiffness 1 and 2?
The stiffness 2 is 30% harder than 1. We suggest stiffness2 just for players weighing more than 80 kg and with very powerful legs :-)

Note that fins with closed-heel foot pocket are produced only in stiffness 2 but the real stiffness is between 1 and 2 as the foot pocket is applied to the blade in a different way with respect to open-heel type.
  3. Do the rubber edgles around blades peel off after being used several times?Yes, sometimes happens. However we normally supply the substitute rubber rail with the fins. However, note that now Mat-Mas has the new design with the foot pocket along the edge of the blade also for open-heel fins and the T-rail is more resistant, thus it shouldn’t peel off easily.
  4. I live in Europe so how about the shipping costs and taxes? Can you make me a price?
The system automatically calculate taxes for shipping within Europe. European customers don't have to pay custom taxes but we must add the VAT tax to the total. Anyway if you live in Europe contact us, we can meet at tournaments and make you special prices.
  5. What are shipping costs to New Zealand?
Just simulate an order to get informations :-)

My shoe size is 43, wich size should I take? 43-44? (I have socks so if they are a little to big, no problem...
The open heel 43-44 is perfect for you. If not just wear neoprene socks and fins will fit you perfectly. You can refer to the conversion table up-right on this page to check out your size.
  6. What's the difference between Glass Fiber and Carbon+ fiber?
The Glass fiber is a little bit heavier and cheaper than carbon+. Carbon + is a composite fiber made by a multi-layer of glass-fiber and carbon fiber. Overall, we would say that Carbon+ is a little bit more well-performing.
  7. What is the timelife of Mat-Mas fins?
At the moment, after 3 years, we monitored ca. 5% broken fins of the open heel foot pocket mostly due to improper use.
  8. Do these fins respect CMAS rules?
You just need to apply a sticky film on the blades to meet CMAS rules. Anyway we are gonna provide protective films very soon.
